I’ve been seeing a really cool range of sweet and bbq sauce recipes out on the blogosphere. So the other night, when we were having burgers, I tried my luck in making my own spin on bbq sauce. It was a winner.. and man approved. Bart usually is a tomato-sauce-kind-of-man. But he loved it 😀
Ingredients
– 100ml a cup of Jack Daniels
– 3/4 cup of bbq sauce
– 1/2 a teaspoon of smoked paprika
– 1 clove of garlic
1. In a small frying pan, fry off the garlic until just cooked – be careful not to have the heat too high, as there’s nothing worse that a burnt garlic taste overpowering your sauce. Add paprika and stir well.
2. Carefully add the J.D, and reduce down by at least half.
3. Once the alcohol has cooked off, add your bbq sauce and stir well to combine. Simmer for about 2-3 minutes and remove from the pan.
4. Serve aside your favourite burger, chips or wedges.
Makes – about a cup.
– I would have added some chilli, but my baby was having burgers too.. and he’s a bit picky on it at the moment. But go for gold.
This sounds delicious definitely going to try this one out, thanks for all your great Ideas Lolly
